I recently presented BBC's Inside Out programme which highlighted female chefs in the UK which was also featured on BBC World News.  In 2016, I took part in a Channel 4 Cookery show where I had the pleasure of working alongside Prue Leith CBE, Michael Caines MBE and Raymond Blanc and it was after that I became a writer. Questions & answers

What should customers know about your pricing? (E.g. estimates, discounts, fees, package pricing)
I give a whole cost for my services rather than hourly although it is worked out at an hourly rate and all funds. My package prices are in line with my experience, knowledge and expertise
What process do you go through when starting with a new customer?
I like to have a call either via zoom or on the phone to fully understand the requirements and ensure that we are all happy moving forward.
What education or training is most relevant to your work?
I am a contributor for various magazines and newspapers. I have worked in financial, property and catering industries. I have won 7 awards and 39 accolades over the past three years for my work and have written a book about How to Win Awards which is available on Amazon and I have endorsed three books. Secrets of Successful Women is a new book which has a chapter dedicated to my start up business.
Do you have tips or advice for someone hiring a pro in your line of work?
My three top tips are: Networking While developing your brand oar starting in a new job, it's so important to know other people who are able to help you to do this. You'll find your local groups are fantastic at raising profile for you. Things like getting involved with your local Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Clubs and business support groups. You'll meet people at these types of networking groups who can help you to progress further. PR Public relations is something that can financially drain you and even sometimes leaving you with little or no results if you don't know how to use it to your advantage. Grabbing momentum when being featured to maximize your potential is paramount to being giving more opportunities to get seen more frequently. Awards I can't stress enough how important it is to put yourself in for awards. You need to put yourself outside of your comfort zone but it's worth it and will not only increase your business sales but also your life. It opens opportunities in so many ways. I gained speaking opportunities, tv and media appearances and I've even endorsed three books.
What questions should customers have ready before speaking to pros about their project?
First know what you want before starting your conversation and then having a list of things you want to know more about. Remember not to waste time chatting about irrelevant things and wasting time. Take notes from the conversation and if you are given advice then try to follow it to improve your opportunities.
What are some good examples of past customers?
Great examples of past customers are those who ask for advice, take notes, follow advice and give good feedback and testimonials. This in turn helps each other to grow and maximise out potential.
Describe a recent project that went well. Scope? How long did it take?
There are testimonials available on my LinkedIn page, please also see the images too that are on this profile. Here are a few that I received: Thanks for accepting my friend request Sarah, I hope you are having a good weekend so far - i've helped my mum with the shopping, we are cooking teriyaki chicken with edamame rice, and I remembered your talk... I noticed a homeless man as we left the car park so I bought him a large tea, some hot porridge, a bottle of water and some fruit and oat biscuits. I felt my heart soar. Thanks again for inspiring me! Beautiful testimonial after the talk I did at Ballard School- the video is attached to my profile.
How did you first get into this line of work?
I started in this line of work because I could no longer work within corporate companies anymore. I am a mum of four children and I love writing, I love watching people achieve their goals and love to be a part of that . I set up a business in indian cooking and ended up doing a lot more writing about cookery. I was then approached by people to help them through coaching, mentoring, writing for them. It is something that I never thought I do but I absolutely love it. I have 11 food columns globally and I have started writing a book series on helping people start in business or to become really successful in their job.
