About Rosie Parton Yoga

Hey everyone! I'm a 200hr Vinyasa Yoga Teacher and a fully qualified personal trainer. I'm currently offering 1-2-1 sessions alongside my weekly group classes. I truly believe 1-2-1 sessions can be so beneficial and I'd love to be a part of your yoga journey! My goal is to provide guided yoga flows combined with breathe to allow you to take time for yourself, to be present and to come out of the rush of the world. Yoga for me is a way of life. I try and bring the foundations, guidelines and principles into my every day activities and habits. Your practice is something than can always be constant in a busy, crazy and unpredictable life - we all know how life can get sometimes. These sessions are perfect for you if: - You can't fit a regular yoga studio class into your schedule. - You have injuries or illness meaning a class environment doesn't meet your needs. - You want a class tailored to your individual needs. Eg. hip flexibility, improving balance, reducing stress, reducing back pain. - You would like to develop a home practice/sequence but don't know where to start. - You want to develop a specific part of your practice that your usual class does not cover in detail. Eg. breathing techniques/pranayama, yoga philosophy, specific asanas (postures) or meditation. - You want to nurture your with a one to one restorative yoga session with no distractions. Benefits of 1-2-1: - Learn the basics correctly. 1-2-1’s reduce the stress or intimidation experienced by beginners when attending large group yoga classes for the first time. Private yoga lessons can give you a good foundation necessary to feel comfortable in a group environment. - We can work with special health concerns you might have, injuries, or any other limitations you may experience. Working one-on-one with a you will learn how to adapt certain postures and use modifications for yourself as well as find out if there are specific poses to avoid when in class. - Boost your confidence. I will help you understand the physicality of the poses, and provide modifications/alternative options for you so you get the most out of your yoga practice at all times. - Fit in with your life. Private yoga sessions can be fit around your schedule, making it easier not to lose the motivation and hold you accountable to practice and progress. - Create a home practice. Consistency is key. If we can create a sequence you love that you can practice whenever you want then you’ll be more likely to become absorbed in the benefits of yoga. As time goes on we can add to the sequence and progress with new postures. - Develop and learn. 1-2-1’s aren’t just for beginners. If you are an experienced Yogi you can also benefit from private yoga lessons. If you want to take your practice to the next level, explore areas in more depth or simply like some individual support, we can cover the things that you choose. - Learn more in depth about ALL aspects of yoga, not just the asanas (postures). In class you do not often learn about the deeper aspects of yoga, it is more of a physical practice. Rosie is such a brilliant teacher! I'm a fairly new yoggie and find it so easy to follow along during her classes; she makes everything very clear and goes at a nice easy pace. The environment Rosie creates is so lovely, there is no pressure to do everything she's doing - as she says "just lying on your mat and being peaceful is practising yoga just as much as anything else we do". She also provides easy and simple alternatives to the moves and positions she's doing so if you aren't comfortable doing something you can always do the alternative. I always leave her classes feeling relaxed and at peace. Rosie's classes are wonderful and I would highly recommend to anyone of any ability!

Such a beautiful experience. Having never really done yoga before, India made the whole experience so comfortable and relaxed. Consultation & first intial session - £40 Block of 4 sessions: £150 Block of 10 sessions: £375
What process do you go through when starting with a new customer?
I will send an initial short questionnaire or have a discussion on Skype/in person to see what exactly you would like out of the sessions. I will then create a session adapted to your personal needs and covering the areas you are interested in, this could be breath work, yoga philosophy, creating a home practice, core strength/toning, learning how to adapt yoga postures with an injury, meditation and more. I can guide you through a challenging sequence or give you a slow and steady relaxing session which delves into yoga philosophy and the yogic way of life.

Do you have tips or advice for someone hiring a pro in your line of work?
Be honest about what you want. The more specific you are the more the professional can help you meet your goals and create a session perfect for you.
How did you first get into this line of work?
My practice has been ever evolving throughout the years and a huge breakthrough for me came when a family member sadly passed. This transitioned my practice into a huge healer and break from trauma and grieving in my life which is what set me on the path of teacher training at The House of Yoga in Putney. My biggest goal with teaching is to help anyone and everyone who comes to class have a momentary break from whatever is going on in their life, to re-connect with themselves and be truly present - amazing things happen when we just B R E A T H E.
