About Riiver

I am a passionate musician. I love singing and songwriting and learning more and more about what makes music so magical. Something that is very dear to my heart is to pass my knowledge and experience on to others. When teaching to sing and to write the most satisfying moment is not only to see improvement in technique but mostly in passion and seeing the student open up their hearts and unlock their fullest potential. I truly believe anyone can learn how to sing, how to write, and how to feel the music in a way that puts the listener in awe.

Riiver is such an amazing singer, and I am very impressed about his teaching skills. I always loved singing, but never used the right techniques. After just a few lessons with Riiver, I noticed such an improvement of my vocal range and breathing techniques specifically. I can highly recommend him as a teacher. As he is an artist himself, he has a different approach of teaching, which I personally love!

Questions & answers

What should customers know about your pricing? (E.g. estimates, discounts, fees, package pricing)

Generally speaking I charge from £35/hour. However, if you choose to book 10 sessions in advance they will only cost you £300 in the bundle price. On average I will have two sessions a week with each client. If you feel like this is not enough, I also offer daily 10 minute calls to see where you are at and to answer any of your questions in an extra course that you can book with me as well.

What process do you go through when starting with a new customer?

Before the first session I always like to have a phone call where we see what exactly it is that you want to improve and what your background is so that I can create a training plan personalized to your needs. During the first session we will then find out what your strengths and weaknesses, whether that is through you singing something for me or some exercises we will be going through.

What education or training is most relevant to your work?

Not only will I teach you the most beneficial warm up techniques to really open up your voice. I will also help you sing from a place that opens up your heart and the heart of the listeners by tapping into your inner self. Singing is not only about the technique but also about being an artist after all!

Do you have tips or advice for someone hiring a pro in your line of work?

My biggest tip would be to see if they inspire you. When learning a new skill I think it is so important to stay inspired because that is what feeds our motivation and eventually keeps us doing what we want to get better in. Also make sure your teacher is patient enough and is doing it primarily because they what to pass valuable knowledge on to others.

What questions should customers have ready before speaking to pros about their project?

When I have hired vocal coaches for myself I have made sure to ask if music is something they are passionate about and if they have similar interests in music to mine. These would be two critical factors for me. Rather than having a singing teacher that can teach all styles fo music sometimes it is nice to have someone who can teach you the exact type of music you want to get taught in.

What are some good examples of past customers?

The best example I can find is myself. I am constantly broadening my knowledge in my own time and curiously trying out new techniques and I've gone from not being able to hit the notes to where I am now, I've gained so much control over my vocal chords and have found a lot of color in my voice, making it sound emotive and colorful. I've had various decades to train myself. The best costumers are the ones I can see the most development in. I don't care how good you are at the beginning I can reassure you that with patience and commitment to your vision you will get there sooner than you think.
