About Madlena Georgieva Violin Tuition
My name is Madlena Georgieva, I am a professional violin teacher and violin player. I am very passionate about teaching violin and I strive to make each lesson enjoyable and productive. I always aim to give a proper attention to the individual needs of my students. I usually teach using Kodály method (for 3-4 year-olds ) and Suzuki books for beginners. I am experienced in preparing students for all grades of ABRSM exams. My pupils are aged between 3 to 55 years old and they are on different levels of their violin studies. I do group teachings and workshops, also I am experienced in mentoring young orchestras. I have a Masters degree in Violin performance at “National Music Academy” Sofia. I've been playing with National Philharmonic orchestra,Bulgaria, National Radio orchestra,Bulgaria, Classic FM orchestra,Bulgaria, London Arts Orchestra, Ensemble OrQuesta, King's College Chamber Orchestra, New Symphony orchestra. I have performed on stages as a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician throughout Germany, UK, Italy, France, China, Czech Republic, Macedonia, Romania. I was the Primario in string quartet “Vivace” for 8 years. I have a valid DBS check and I could present references from my students if required.

I started to learn to play the violin, considered a difficult instrument for beginners, only five months ago, aged 55. On the basis of my experience to date, I would like to recommend Madlena to all beginners, irrespective of their age. She is an outstanding teacher who sets out to develop a passion for music and for the violin by teaching her pupil, from the start to play, by memory, a number of short and simple pieces before studying them in detail - an approach that is very motivating and which encourages the rapid progress achieved. Nonetheless, with Madlena, playing the notes is not enough. Precision is all, right from the start - the exact positioning of the hands and fingers, the accurate handling of the bow, the relaxed but precise stance - these are her credos, and I love them. Madlena is such a motivational teacher that I am already able to play a number of pieces that are musically simple, but which demand technical precision. I practice at least 45 minutes every day.
