About Kevin Erlicher

I have been writing and producing music profesionally for +10 years. I love working on new projects and helping my clients reach their potential. Whether it is by creating new music or by working on existing projects, I will water your ideas and make them grow while making sure you learn in the process. I have a fully equipped home studio in South London. This cozy environment will make you feel at home while bringing you the professionalism you're looking for. We can also organise sessions through Zoom/Skype or you can send me your project via e-mail! As Billie Eilish and her brother have shown, it is now possible to make hit records from our own homes! I have worked with many different musicians and artists all over the world, exploring all genres from indie rock, pop, electronic music, hip hop and collaborated with some of the biggest trap producers in South America! Some of the songs I have worked on have gathered thousands of plays on streaming platforms: Smooth Ends (2 million plays on Spotify), ABC Dialect (200.000+), BB Sway and many more! Whether you're a beginner who is just looking to have a go at writing/composing/recording or an experienced musician who wants to take a track to the next level, you've come to the right place!

Songwriting
Abril S.'s review on Jul 05, 2020

Kevin is a great producer. He understands the vibe you are looking for and helps you realize your idea. He is very creative but doesn't push his ideas too much, he lets you be in charge! Previously with other producers, the song ended up sounding like they wanted. Instead Kevin really gets what you want and makes it sound perfect. He is fun and professional and makes you feel very comfortable. Also, his home studio is fully equipped and very nice. Recommend!

Audio Recording
B A.'s review on Jul 05, 2020

I hired Kevin as a mixer/producer, he is a very gifted musician and he is full of ideas. He has helped me achieve all the results I was looking for. I will keep hiring him in the near future and recommend any upcoming artist to do as well.

Questions & answers

What should customers know about your pricing? (E.g. estimates, discounts, fees, package pricing)
- Production/songwriting lessons) : £25/h - Mixing (per track): £30 (as many correction as you'd like) - Remix: £30 If you want to come to the studio & start a track from scratch I offer the following package: - Songwriting + Recording (includes use of my equipment) + Mixing = £50 This includes 1 full session at my studio (additional sessions are £15). You will be left with a finished professional track. I also offer the following package for the very decent price of £70: - Songwriting + 1 Studio session (includes recording and use of my equipment) + Mixing + Unlimited corrections + Mastering= £70
What process do you go through when starting with a new customer?
I like to get to know my client first. How did you get into music? What are you looking to achieve? I want to know your influences, who do you look up to? If you want to start a song from scratch I need to get a clear idea of who you are as as an artist. References are useful to know what we are working towards, but I will ensure we get a unique and original sound. Once we are on the same page we will start the writing process. Each track I have worked on has its own individual creative process, we might start with a melody you had in mind or some nice chords we come up with. A similar process is expected if you're looking to work on a pre-existing track. I will keep the original vibe to the song and add my personal touch to it.
What education or training is most relevant to your work?
I have a Bmus in Songwriting & Composition from LCCM. I have been performing and writing music for more than 10 years. I have written, mixed and produced all of my bands track. In addition to my studio experience, I am an experienced musician who has been on several tours, performing in loads of European countries all the way to South America.
Do you have tips or advice for someone hiring a pro in your line of work?
Make sure they have enough experience and that they will be able to fully understand your vision. You want to end up with a song that sounds like you not like someone else! Expertise is important but communication is a must.
What questions should customers have ready before speaking to pros about their project?
What have you worked on previously? What could you bring to my project? Above all, make sure they will be able to understand what your final goal is!
What are some good examples of past customers?
Smooth Ends Abc Dialect BB Sway Sophia Gripari Loverground Shayn Blaac Chocolatino
Describe a recent project that went well. Scope? How long did it take?
Abril came to me with a nice song she had written. She needed help finishing it and recording. I helped her with the structure of the track and added an extra part to the song, which gave it a more defined a complete form. I had to use my songwriting skills for that part. We kept it simple for the recording and were faithful to the demo she had brought. We recorded acoustic guitars and vocals at my studio. It was Abril first time at a studio and she felt very comfortable, a natural! I added some lovely pads and took care of the mixing and mastering. She ended up with a finished product, a polished track that sounds great but is faithful to the original demo! The recording took us one afternoon and within a week I delivered the finish product.
How did you first get into this line of work?
I started playing guitar at the age of 14. Then started my own band at 19. Gathered a lot of experience playing live and recording my own demos. After that I decided I wanted to focus on the songwriting and production aspect. I am a music lover who became a music professional!
