About Higher Level Performance

While we all have our reasons for keeping fit, not everyone manages to stick to a routine or stay disciplined. Having a coach who mentally preps you and encourages you to maximise your potential is key to consistent workouts and effective results. I’m a professional personal trainer with 8 years of experience providing high quality personal training sessions to individuals on a one-on-one basis or in groups. I have a BSc in Sport & Exercise Science and have worked in difference capacities training a people from different walks of life including the army, sports clubs (rugby, basketball, football, boxing), and of different ages, from youth to the elderly. I specialise in functional training (kettlebells, bodyweight strength, running mechanics), as well as in weight loss and muscle gain and boxing lessons. My sessions are more than just instructing, I also focus on educating people to change their mindset and understand the needs of their bodies. I avoid a one-size-fits-all approach and will design an exclusive programme with your unique needs and current capabilities in mind. For the entire duration, I will be by your side motivating you to punch above your weight and give your best. Dedication is key and together we will work to overcome challenges to achieve your health goals. I pride myself on being able to adapt my sessions to my clients’ needs and strive to improve their confidence through correct coaching and guidance. I have been taking Boxing classes with Nathan twice a week for about 6 months now - and I am totally hooked! He has a great way of making the classes fun and enjoyable whilst also teaching a lot of technique and making sure we get an extensive and thorough full body workout!! I have also done circuits, mobility classes and a few PTs with Nathan and I can highly recommend him for all of them!

I am know on my second training program with Nathan and HLP and saw immediate results after the first program. From my experience Nathan is dedicated to ensuring his clients set clear and achievable goals and then works side by side with them to ensure the meet and then surpass these. Nathan offers a wide range of techniques as well as additional help in nutrition and maintaining a positive mindset to meet your goals as well as providing a fun atmosphere to train in. I look forward to the next group workout followed by a well earned feed.

Nathan has been my Personal Trainer for the past four months and has been instrumental in getting me to enjoy once again physical fitness and well being having led a fairly sedentary lifestyle over the last number of years. He has devised a programme tailor made for my goals and aims. He is always very encouraging and motivational, his focus always on the client. He will ensure variety within the set programme, regularly discuss new aims/goals and prepare a revised exercise programme accordingly. Nathan will push me constantly but in a safe manner appropriate to my age and medical history. I have started weight lifting with him, something I would never have considered. My sessions with Nathan have had such a positive impact that I am now keen to pursue physical activities rather than avoiding them or procrastinating - the positive mindset has set in! Nathan is really supportive and constantly encourages you to push yourself. He sets realistic targets that are challenging yet achievable. He's explains what each exercise does and what muscle group is used. He also makes fitness fun too so that you don't have that dread at the idea of circuit training/fitness. Would definitely recommend Nathan to people of all fitness levels.

I know Nathan through bounce the gym. My experience with him is great because not only am I improving myself as a athlete, I'm learning some new techniques and exercise a long the way.
