About Fabrizio Brusca - Guitar & Ukulele Lessons (E10)

Hi everybody! I'm an italian Guitar Teacher/composer/performer based in London. After a Degree in Sculpture achieved in 2001 at the Fine Arts Academy of Palermo and music studies as self-taught, I decided to attend the Bachelor Jazz Guitar course at the Prins Claus Conservatory in Groningen (Netherlands) in 2004. I've been very fortunate to study with New York jazz masters like Conrad Herwig, Ralph Peterson Jr., Brian Lynch, David Berkman, Steve Davis, and many others. Between The Netherlands and Italy I followed workshops with Lee Konitz, Joe Lovano, Salvatore Bonafede, Ralph Towner, Maria Pia De Vito, Timucin Sahin, David Gilmore, Kurt Rosenwinkel. In 2007 I achieved my bachelor receiving a Grant by the prestigious Andrea Elkenbracht Foundation in Groningen to live and study three months in New York City. Here I met and studied with Ben Monder, Gilad Hekselman, Lage Lund, Jonathan Kreisberg, Adam Rogers and attends seminars with Gene Bertoncini and Steve Coleman. In March 2011 I released the debut CD "Manziluna" (Fitzcarraldo Rec.) as co-leader. Between 2012 and 2014 I recorded with various national and international projects as the Emanuele Primavera 4et, Marvi La Spina's "Macchina di Suoni" Orchestra (special guest David Kikoski) in Italy and the Jacek Kochan's "MusiConspiracy" 4et in Poland. Since the year 2008 I taught in Primary schools in Agrigento (Italy) and in 2010 in many independent schools like the Palermo Jazz International Music School. In 2014 I moved to London, where I perform as sideman and recently as co-leader together with the singer/composer Sylvia Schmidt of the Contemporary Jazz Quintet "Esquivo". The band includes also some of the best musicians of the new generation in the UK. I also teach Guitar and Ukulele 1-1, small groups and whole class groups for the Hackney and Newham Music Services since 2015. In my lesson, Creativity, professionalism and Fun are the key-words! He'd been a great teacher, clear direct and followed me with great care and attention! I Would recommend to anyone!" by Fabrizio Lembo. Dec 23, 2014 Palermo (IT), rate 1-5 is 5 "Fabrizio's lessons required me plenty of focus and constancy, but these have been fully rewarded. After challenging, but absolutely enjoyable lessons, I found myself a better guitarist, and, most importantly, I finally understood what are the keys to great guitar playing and music composition. As a teacher, Fabrizio is a serious professional who cares a lot about the comfort of his students and helps them in many ways to get over the obstacles of musical studies. Not for the lazy!" by Dario Scuderi. Dec 23, 2014 Palermo (IT), rate 1-5 is 5 “I started from scratch, with the desire to realize a passion that I had since I was a teen: To play the guitar. You've been a patient teacher, and you've managed to increase my passion for this instrument. Thanks to your lessons I learned to read notes, their duration, the timing of music, managing to make sounds pretty decent come out of the guitar. - With gratitude, Gloria.” Gloria Failla.
