About Clitheroe Guitar Studio
Studies have long shown that learning how to play a musical instrument has a host of benefits to a child, from enhanced cognitive abilities to learning self-discipline and boosting self-esteem. My name is Nick and I am an International Registered Guitar Tutor (RGT) / London College of Music (LCM) Examiner and I run Clitheroe Guitar Studio, a studio to teach pupils music and prepare them for musical exams. I have a proven track record for 30 years and I can prepare students for exams in classical guitar, acoustic guitar, bass and electric guitar, banjo, mandolin and ukulele. I am an International Registered Guitar Tutor (RGT) and a London College of Music (LCM) Examiner. I am also registered with the RGT, NME (New Musical Express) & Rockschool, just to name a few of my certification, licences and clearances to operate. Also, I was awarded ‘Experienced Exam Tutor’ status by the RGT, so you know that you’re in the best hands when it comes to music education when you have me as your music teacher. My teaching methodology focuses on structured progress and exam results. I teach all levels in all styles and abilities on all popular stringed instruments. I provide free initial lessons for evaluations and to discuss musical goals, and I also provide discounts on one-hour lessons. Nick teaches my son Rock Guitar (just completed Grade 3). He is calm and patient but with an infectious enthusiasm that gets the very best from him. Nick is a superb teacher and I would recommend him to anyone.
I can't recommend Nick highly enough. If you want to play guitar to a fantastic standard regardless of age or ability he is the man for the job. Nick has a wealth of knowledge and experience that is second to none whatever the genre of music. He has taught my son electric guitar for approximately five years now and George still looks forward to his lesson every week and is working onwards and upwards towards his grade eight. Nick manages to teach to an an amazing standard whilst keeping students motivated. A rare feat indeed!

Nick is a fantastic teacher. I make progress every lesson. I am learning electric guitar and have just completed my grade 3 rock exam with Nick. I am 52 and started playing 18 months ago. I have been with Nick for about 6 months. My rate of improvement has at least doubled since I have been with Nick. My soloing has greatly improved, as has my guitar skill and understanding of music. Nick is very flexible with times. I have a 1 hour lesson every 2 weeks or so due to work commitments. Can’t wait for my next lesson! 😁 John Davies, Whalley.
