This is my first time back to yoga after a few years and I feel like I am back at the beginner stage - Yoko made me feel very comfortable about returning to yoga and confident that I can improve my practice under his instruction. He was very patient and informative and I look forward to developing my yoga with him. Leanne

Marshall is very good and focused. He is able to tailor the session to my requirements. He also makes sure that I use the correct technique and avoid injuries. I started with just yoga sessions and now I am doing both workout and yoga. Sessions are both productive and enjoyable.

I have been attending Liz's yoga class on a Wednesday evening for about 6 months now. The class is informal, male and female of differing ages and varied abilities. Diverse and friendly is how I would describe it. The class is nominally Astanga and Liz takes us confidently through the vinyasa and poses, demonstrating stopping and explaining everything so we can all achieve together. Liz's approach is flexible and she will introduce props and poses from other yoga styles to facilitate our learning. This might not suit Astanga purists, but I find the mixing and matching both challenging and gentle enough to suit my style of practise which has certainly evolved since I found Liz's class. If you want to learn yoga with a experienced and knowledgeable teacher in a relaxed and friendly environment then this class could be for you. It is for me.

The lessons I attended with Ella were challenging, informative and fun. Ella is a teacher that encourages development of practice, pushing you in a supportive way to push yourself to reach new limits. I would highly recommend Ella as a teacher and look forward to exploring yoga more with her in the future.

About

I was introduced to yoga age 19 and have been continuously attracted to seeing where the path of yoga will lead. I took a Yoga Teacher Training study in 2006 and have been training and practicing steadily since then. With teaching I focus very much on the heart, breathing, going within while gently exploring the body through stretching and movement. Always I am interested in achieving a inner sense of calm and well-being in my clients and in myself. Originally from the UK,I lived in Bali for 10 years 2009 to Dec 2018. I arrived in Bali in search of a deeper more enriching spiritual experience and very quickly found myself in an Ashram in the north of Bali - which is now a huge part of my life. As soon as I arrived in Bali I started drawing, sketching and colouring, Bali re-ignited my creative flame and I produced many pieces in the first 6 months of being on the island. Within my re-awakened creative state I began to look I learned and experimented with Mandalas. This new way of working drew me in and I was hooked. I have been researching, refining and investigating Mandalas ever since. I was lucky to share my passions through Women only Art and Yoga retreats for 3 years 2013 to 2016.

Prioryoga

North Cheam, South London SM3 9SL

About

You’ve always wanted to try yoga but think you’re too old, stiff and unfit. I can reassure you that yoga is for everyone who has the heart to learn it. It offers a lot of benefits – it teaches you to focus and balance, re-energise your body, calm your mind, and improve your overall well-being. My name is Leanne from Prioryoga and I am a yoga instructor specialising in Vinyasa yoga. I teach yoga in studios and spaces in Cheam, Sutton, Merton Park and Leatherhead. I teach students of all levels – from beginners to those who’ve been practicing yoga for a while and my sessions are for kids, seniors, pre-natal and post-natal mums. I love to share my passion and knowledge of yoga and encourage people to practice regularly. A lot of my students have discovered how yoga improves flexibility and strength, and reduces stress in their lives. If you are recovering from an injury, I can modify specific poses that will speed-up the process of healing, and I can also design a weekly to monthly programmes as you progress on your healing phases. If you’d like to add a measure of calm and decompress after a hard day at work, I highly recommend a yoga session. Please get in touch to discuss what we need to work on and what your expectations are. We will work together on creating a programme that best suits you abilities and goals.

About

I'm a Vinyasa Flow yoga teacher, based in South West London. I believe so much in the power of yoga that I trained to become a teacher, so I can share the many wonderful physical and mental health benefits. The style of yoga I teach is Vinyasa Flow - which simply means 'moving with the breath'. This is an effective way to calm the mind, and to help make a shift on the physical, emotional and energetic levels. I am great with people new to yoga, or people who have very tight muscles, as I used to be a runner and a basketball player and flexibility was never my strength! I know how to break down the poses so you can start where you need to - rather than forcing someone into a pose their body / mind is not ready for. Quite often in an open level class, there is an expectation that people have a certain level of flexibility already, and I used to get frustrated that I never made any progress. Over years of practising and learning from my teachers, I now know how to prepare and release tension from the body. If you are new to yoga or struggling with tight muscles or self-limiting beliefs - then I would be happy to work with you to achieve your goals. :-)
