I initially started attending Maya's group Yoga classes when a friens of mine recommended her classes. I had never done Yoga before and come from a background of intensive sport but after trying Maya's group class i was so impressed as Maya showed great patience and a high level of professionalism in respect of understanding our individule needs. Since my first lesson i have seen and feel the positive impact in my life and i have achieved my initial goals. When i started i had a bad posture, a bad shoulder due to boxing and constant back pains and not only has Yoga and Maya's classes help with all of that but it has also impacted and effected my personal lifestyle helped me at work and in my daily life in general. Today i do private lessons with Maya and so do most of my friends and family. I would highly recommend Maya as she can work with all level of people from beginners like me to advance people like my friends and family.

Hande has a lovely demeanour and was kind enough to offer a free taster session after which we made a recurring arrangement. I specifically wanted her expertise as a prenatal yoga instructor and after two weeks, I think some of the back pain I've been experiencing is already a bit better. I feel much more comfortable now that someone properly trained can guide me through what I can do to strengthen my body and improve flexibility at this stage in pregnancy. We have also discussed postnatal options since she has training in this areas as well. Hande is very professional but also personable and cares about her client's individual needs. Her private studio is also lovely.

I'm a Vinyasa Flow yoga teacher, based in South West London. I believe so much in the power of yoga that I trained to become a teacher, so I can share the many wonderful physical and mental health benefits. The style of yoga I teach is Vinyasa Flow - which simply means 'moving with the breath'. This is an effective way to calm the mind, and to help make a shift on the physical, emotional and energetic levels. I am great with people new to yoga, or people who have very tight muscles, as I used to be a runner and a basketball player and flexibility was never my strength! I know how to break down the poses so you can start where you need to - rather than forcing someone into a pose their body / mind is not ready for. Quite often in an open level class, there is an expectation that people have a certain level of flexibility already, and I used to get frustrated that I never made any progress. Over years of practising and learning from my teachers, I now know how to prepare and release tension from the body. If you are new to yoga or struggling with tight muscles or self-limiting beliefs - then I would be happy to work with you to achieve your goals. :-)
