About SRT Training

I take a functional and measured approach to my Personal Training so that we set out from the very start knowing exactly where we are heading. We all know that exercise has to be fun if we are going to continue and actually reach the goals we set ourselves, so that is the overarching principle of all of my sessions. Second to that is that everything is functional, and that we are moving our bodies in the way that we are supposed to - faster, stronger, more powerfully and more efficiently to achieve our potential.

Steve has been great motivating me to get off the couch and get fit. For years I've used just about every excuse possible not to do exercise, but found it so easy to go out for meals, eat cakes and drink wine... it all piles up and on! My health was being affected by my bad lifestyle choices. Steve is very professional and has completely tailormade a healthy fitness plan for me that isn't difficult to follow. He took into account my list of medical ailments and worked the program around my ability. My confidence has greatly improved. There are still times when I'm feeling lazy, Steve quickly gets me back on track! I can now say I honestly enjoy exercise :)

I was a bit nervous about hiring a personal trainer again as I had done it in the past and had been let down or lost motivation. I decided to use Stephen for 10 sessions to help me develop my fitness (post-injury) in time for the new hockey season. I am really pleased that I hired Stephen!! The best decision. He is calm and measured in his approach but pushes you to keep going. I like that he is encouraging and changes the gym programme to keep my body (and me) guessing. I can see the changes to my body and I feel stronger. For the first time in a long time, I am motivated to stick with it because the changes really are happening and I like that - a booking for 10 sessions was quickly upgraded to one of 20! Well worth it!! HIGHLY recommended!!

I intended to meet a couple of trainers before deciding whom to work with but having met Stephen Thompson, I knew immediately there was no need to keep looking. He is not only a dedicated and great personal trainer, but he is a really lovely guy with a personable manner , always reliable and punctual. I enjoy my sessions with him , he works hard and expects me to work hard but he is gentle and sensitive to my abilities. I am looking forward to our next 10 sessions having done 10 already

Training with Stephen has exceeded all my expectations. As a regular sportsman, competing in regional and national racket sport tournaments, I needed someone who could elevate my fitness to a higher level and give me the edge over my competitors. Not only have I observed marked improvements in my short-term performance, but Stephen has also transformed my approach to training which I believe will result in even more significant benefits in the longer term. For anyone looking to develop their fitness at a recreational level or inject a new lease of life into their training at a more elite level, I could not recommend Stephen more highly.
