Rich T.'s review on Oct 07, 2019

A friend recommended David to me and I couldn't be more grateful. I had just been through a horrific experience and I honestly couldn't see a way to heal myself. What I'd been victim to was unusual and I didn't think there was anyone in a position to help. I was wrong. David showed immense amounts of empathy and understanding. He worked with me for 17 months - he never pushed me, it was always at my pace and he constantly reassured me that I was making progress. There was never any judgement (something that I had expected to feel) and I felt comfortable around him from the start. He brought me to a point where the anxiety simply faded away and I felt like myself again. When we met I was very angry at the world and while I wanted to get better I really couldn’t see things getting back to normal and the idea of looking for a job terrified me. I’m now in full time employment in a job that I love. I’m looking to buy a house. All of my progress was from David’s counselling, without the work he put in with me I’d still be a quivering mess. I couldn't possibly speak too highly of David and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone needing counselling services. RLT

David helped me through more then one occasion off counselling in my life starting form the age of 12/13 when my dad passed away through to my late 20s were he helped with other issues. ive always found David to be a very good confidant that will advise and share his own experiences using them to relate and help me to found a solution to things that may have bothered me, very professional in the way he conducts hes job. i have and will continue to recommend people to David as he has an ability to make u feel at ease and willing to share and discuss personal problems 5 stars isnt enough

David was my counsellor during an extremely difficult time in my life when I was struggling with doing things in life I had once taken for granted. He took a non judgemental approach and made me feel at ease in a way other people were unable to, which enabled us to have open and easy discussions about anything that needed to be discussed. David drew on his life experiences to relate to my issues, which made it easier for me to listen to what he had to say on a matter because it showed he understood where I was coming from. This means everything he says has meaning he avoids doing what most people do which is speak for the sake of speaking. My experience with David was entirely positive and I recommend him.

Working with David changed my life for the better. I had suffered from depression throughout the majority of my life. I had a traumatic childhood that I never came to terms with and I struggled with my emotions and relationships. David provided me with an outlet to vent and get things off my chest that had been bottled for over 10 years! He guided me to see the impact of my own actions and attitude on the quality of my life. Although I found it difficult and sometimes upsetting there was always a purpose. Each session always brought me that one step closer to acceptance and healing. I now have control over my life and so much more to look forward to. For that I will be forever grateful.

David is a counsellor recommended to me by a friend who is also an excellent professional counsellor. She thought that with his many years of experience working with families, adults and children, he could really help me. She was absolutely right and I am extremely thankful for the help and support I have received. I also recommended him to a friend who he helped out of crisis too. When my marriage broke down I found myself strangely isolated from friends and family, with a young child to take care of. The divorce was acrimonious and there were arguments over access arrangements. I didn’t know which way to turn or what were the right decisions to make. It felt like I couldn’t find the pathway out of the mess I was in. I had never had any counselling before so I felt completely out of my comfort zone at first. I became very emotional initially, but as I got stronger with every session that I went to, I realised everything was part of a process that David was leading. I was asking myself questions that would never have occurred to me unless a good counsellor like David thought to ask them. I was considering why I had made certain decisions in my life and how I might choose differently now. In other words he gave me the tools to move on with my life. I have since re-married and have felt ever since my counselling that I managed to get my life back on track. Since that initial six months of counselling, I have been back to see David on separate occasions for a top-up. His brilliant insights enabled me to make life-changing decisions on certain significant family matters. He has this ability to understand the complexities of life and offer pragmatic and constructive advice in a completely non-judgemental way. He is an excellent counsellor who I would recommend to and for everyone.

I was referred to David at a young age at a really difficult period in my life, so I was brought to David by 2 of my significant others even though I was against it. Having met him, my issues against men made the situation worst but having David as a counsellor then and even somebody I can call on now years on it has helped me tremendously to focus on my studies. My behaviour had improved so much - I was on the verge of being kicked out from school. I feel so much better, I feel more confident within relationships with family and friends. David guided me and gave me the confidence to stick through school and now and I can proudly say I am succefully making my way into my 2nd year at university. When I first met David I thought he wasn’t going to allow me to breathe, to be the typical counsellor and have in my head the fake sympathetic attitude but he was completely and utterly, 100% genuine. I was offered counselling at school but based off my friends experiences, it wasn’t confidential therefore when I was told about David I assumend it would be the same experience. Also the cultural background of the counsellor didn’t fit with mine, we couldn’t relate on any levels.
