We all have different approaches to fitness; some like to run, others prefer to go the gym, some like to swim – every routine varies depending on personal preferences and fitness goals. As a fully qualified personal trainer, I’ve helped scores of clients transform their lifestyles once they’ve discovered the ideal routine and diet plan. Unlike many other trainers, my goal is to educate as well as physically transform my clients through a personalised training plan based on individual goals, lifestyle, motivations, body shapes, and current abilities. To me, effective results are paramount as it’s an investment of your time, effort, and money and a reflection of my capabilities. At the end of the three-month period, you will be self-sufficient and equipped with the necessary tools to make informed decisions about your diet and workouts, more importantly, you will have developed sustainable habits to keep the weight off. There are some days where it will be tougher than others but I will be by your side, encouraging you and urging you to hold firm to your resolve and not give up. I also have additional qualifications in GP referral and obesity and diabetes management, which allows me to offer additional valuable advice and guidelines to clients. I’m passionate about health and fitness, I go out of my way to help my clients in any way I can, and make myself available to answer any questions my clients may have at any time. My rates are reasonable, and I offer special discounts; clients that purchase a 3-month course get a 20% discount. Clients who refer a friend that purchases a 3-month course will earn an extra two weeks free of charge. Russell is a rare find in the world of personal trainers, weight loss coaches, fitness helpers his knowledge and passion to succeed has for the first time in 25 years enabled me to achieve my goals. Having hit 50 I realised I couldn't get away with my lifestyle for much longer! I wanted to get back into a shape that wasn't round but there was so much contradictory information about what to do and eat I wasn't sure what to do. Russ was recommended to me and over the course of 3 months we put a plan in place, monitored both the effect and how realistic it was at weekly review meetings and I am now at the stage of being confident enough to do it on my own. I now have an ongoing plan which I mostly stick to but if I choose not to then at least I am aware of the implications. Over the course of three months I lost over 3% body fat and nearly 5kg in weight and this trend is continuing. I would highly recommend Russ for his professionalism and passion for the subject.

After months of trying I was almost convinced that there was no way for me to build muscle, I tried for ages, and kept making up excuses like "I have a really fast metabolism". It turns out I was just doing it all wrong. Luckily I met Russ who taught me all the important things I needed to know about working out and nutrition, and helped me with what I was doing wrong. Ever since I started training with his help I've seen nothing but improvement and I've never been more proud of myself.

Like many reaching a milestone birthday, I decided to think more about how I look after myself. I took myself off to the gym and got a membership. Stage 1; what now? I asked Russell to work out a plan which would be achievable in the time-frames I had set out and would lead to all over, practical strengthening and better physical control. Russell set about guiding me toward my goal, offering a selection of exercises and variations for each area to be worked on. His calm explanations, demonstrations & corrections showed an impressive knowledge of the workings of the complex machine we all live in. Following a closely guided period of consultation, Russell was able to create a set of routines that I now follow myself, with clear milestones & challenge options. I am now able to work out with a purpose and measure results, working toward my goal. Once there, I will certainly engage Russell again to formulate a plan for the next level of achievement. Whether you know what you are aiming for, or need someone calm and encouraging to help you find your goal, I would highly recommend Russell as a positive & extremely knowledgeable coach.

I am one of those really bad people that say they want to loose weight and get fit, but not very motivated to do it. Russell was encouraging and helpful in finding reasons and ways for me to exercise and then to check my food intake. OK, some days it was bad-but he pointed out the good days and I have persevered with counting my calories and trying to exercise more. I like the way Russell explains how the body works, what food is processed in what way-and the best time to eat carbs and fats and when not to. He has a lot of patience and always looks on the positive side of any increase in muscle or lose in weight. He chooses targets that can be met and not ones right out of reach-he is genuinely interested in the progress I make and sends me interesting articles to read about different food and exercises. I found it useful to video the exercises with him doing them-so I knew I was doing them the right way on my own. I would recommend him and his methods of teaching, I am glad I did.
