Meet Robin

A friendly introduction... Hello, my name is Robin and I am an ICF (International Coach Federation) certified coach (life, career, executive, leadership and workplace) who is based in Glasgow and Milton Keynes, but operate across the British Isles and beyond. My coaching is available in person or remotely (or indeed a combination of both). Remote coaching is becoming increasingly popular because it allows the client to be comfortable in a place of their choosing and it also gives me increased geographical cover too. I am completely flexible to be able to work in and out of work hours and also across different time zones. Who do I work with... I work with focused, driven and determined people who would like to be more effective and fulfilled in their lives, workplace and careers by helping them to achieve their goals. Loving the diversity of people from all walks of life, I am comfortable (and enjoy) working with males and females. However, I take particular satisfaction and professional pride in working with males who have possibly found it difficult in the past to express themselves freely and who maybe haven’t seen the possibilities around them or recognised the potential that they have. To those that are interested, I have also been trained in mental health awareness from Mental Health First Aid England & have also received training in supporting adults with neuro-diverse conditions such as dyslexia, autism, dyspraxia & ADHD through the charity 'Exceptional Individuals'.

Career Coaching
Scott B.'s review on Jul 10, 2020

Robyn made my first coaching experience easy and straightforward. Thanks for supporting, listening, encouraging and challenging me. It was exactly what I needed and have now set strong foundations for moving forward. You’ve really helped me through a difficult business period, thanks again. Can’t recommend Robyn highly enough!

Questions & answers

What should customers know about your pricing? (E.g. estimates, discounts, fees, package pricing)
My pricing structure is flexible and can accommodate many budgets. Also if you book more than one life or career coaching session with me, I offer further discounts depending on how many sessions you sign up for. For those that are possibly unsure, I also offer a complimentary and no obligation discovery call too, so please take me up on that offer. In addition to my life and career coaching, I also provide executive, leadership and workplace coaching and have designed a structured personal and professional development programme which is in 3 modules of 9 hours of one to one coaching (27 hours in total if you do the full programme). Depending on your aims or career level this programme can be taken in stages.
What process do you go through when starting with a new customer?
When working with a new client, I will allow the them to take the coaching conversation and process wherever it needs to go and then we move forward at a pace that suits them. However in most of my coaching relationships, my clients will typically explore their personal values (What is important to the client) and strengths (What is the client good at) fairly early on and this will then often shape how the rest of the coaching unfolds.
What education or training is most relevant to your work?
I have a diploma in Transformational Coaching from Animas (Animas are one of Europe's leading coaching schools), and on top this, I have a degree in science and management, a six sigma green belt in change processing and also Prince2 qualified for project management and methodical ways of working.
Do you have tips or advice for someone hiring a pro in your line of work?
For anybody wishing to employ a coach then it is important to work with somebody who has qualifications that are recognised by one of the leading coaching authorities such as the International Coach Federation or the Association of Coaching (coaching is unfortunately an unregulated industry so there are many people who might call themselves a coach but might have not have qualifications that are regulated by one of the main industry bodies). A regulated coach will have been trained to the highest ethical standards, will use the most up to date practices and will also have regular supervision and training. It is also important to have a coach who is fully insured too.
What questions should customers have ready before speaking to pros about their project?
With coaching sometimes people don't at first really know why they want to work with a coach but they just have a feeling that they went to change something about the their current circumstances and it is then through the coaching process that we discover what it is.
What are some good examples of past customers?
Please see my review section and then take me up on my offer of a complimentary call and I will happily tell you more!
Describe a recent project that went well. Scope? How long did it take?
Again please take me up on my offer of a complimentary call I will happily tell you more!
How did you first get into this line of work?
My management approach had a natural coaching style to it and over time I just gravitated over to being a coach so decided to officially train as a coach and formally qualify.
