About RJ Sports Therapies
People are always looking at ways to improve their health and wellbeing by exploring options that work best for their bodies. A stressful life compromises the immune system and we’re prone to falling ill and suffering from injuries. I am a Sports Scientist with over 20 years experience as a fitness coach, sports therapist, massage therapist, nutrition consultant, and sports lecturer. I help people by looking into their specific needs and goals and creating a customised training plan to deliver effective results efficiently. Our bodies work hard to get us where we want to be and it’s our imperative to look after our bodies in more ways than one. Based on your individual needs, I can help you with different aspects of your health journey, all the while ensuring you reach an optimum level of fitness and nutrition. My experience working in the fitness industry is significant and varied. I work in local gyms with clients offering gym based fitness sessions including cardio and weight training. I worked as a sports scientist with QPR FC and Fulham FC and have the expertise in specific sports-related injuries. If you suffer from the same, I’m able to rehabilitate you with a range of therapies including massage. As a lecturer, I teach numerous sports and health qualifications, from YMCA gym instructor to Foundation Degree anatomy & physiology and Access to Nursing. Additionally, I have experience with taping and strapping, cycling and triathlon training, workshops, rehabilitation. I run a mental health bike project and offer cycling/bike-riding sessions for those pursuing this route to health and weight loss. I like to keep an open mind and experiment with various kinds of training and encourage my students and clients to do the same. I will guide and motivate you to keep your workouts varied so your entire body gets exercise and you ramp up your fitness. Whatever sports you wish to do, indoors or outdoors, I will make you safe and comfortable and advise you on the right form and techniques to avoid injuries. Ricardo is an expert in his field and this shows in the high standard of service provided. He is polite, professional and within one session, I have regained some flexibility in my outer thigh muscles which I haven't had for a very long time. The pain in my neck has also decreased and my lower back isn't as sore as I've become accustomed to. Ricardo gave me pointers on specific exercises for core strength and to stretch out certain muscles too. All in all, a very good experience and I would advise anyone with muscle pain and/or tightness to book Ricardo. Well worth the money!
