About Rafael Cunha

I’m Rafael, and with over a decade of experience in the fitness industry, I am a REPs level 3 personal trainer that will help you significantly overhaul your health and fitness. I have a degree in Physical Education and a postgraduate degree in Physiology of Exercise. Additionally, I am also a qualified Pilates teacher – both mat and reformer. I work with all kinds of clients but specialise in core work, Pilates, callisthenics and bodyweight training, as well as helping people to recover from and prevent injuries. I’ve worked with individuals dealing with hernias, disc protrusion, sciatic nerve issues, back pain and postural imbalances, always aiming to improve their quality of movement, overall fitness and general health. Whatever your goals are, I will take a tailored approach based on your goals, current ability, and lifestyle. This starts by first understanding you – your needs, respecting your limitations and observing existing imbalances in your musculoskeletal system to develop an individual plan to help you achieve your goals. Every individual is different and whether you’re keen to reduce pain and discomfort or increase muscular tone, my programmes are designed to help clients strengthen the right muscles, improve performance, and restore balance. Throughout this journey, I will be fully focused on helping you make progress. I pay attention to any concerns, help you overcome any challenges and providing abundant encouragement so you stay true to your goals. What sets me apart from other trainers is my ability to develop a rapport and my persistence to help enhance your fitness and building confidence. For convenience, I work remotely and am happy to travel to your location so commuting is one less thing you need to worry about. On the pricing front, the more sessions you pay in advance, the higher the discount. My price scheme is as below: 1 single session - £60 (pay as you go) ✅ Package of 6 sessions - £345 (£57.50 per session) ✅ Package of 8 sessions - £420 (£55.00 per session) ✅ Package of 10 sessions - £500 (£50 per session) ✅ Package of 12 sessions - £570 (47.50 per session) ✅ Package of 16 sessions - £720 (45 per session) For amazing results, I’m only a message or phone call away. I’ve been training with Rafael for almost a month now. I did 6 sessions to date out of a 22 I booked with him. I’m now training twice a week, and I really enjoy the personal one-on-one session with him. Rafael is committed and he is focused on helping me achieve my goals. I like that his approach is based on Pilates principles. I also appreciate that he tries to meet my requests tailor making the exercises to my ability and taking into account a minor hip injury I have. He ensures that my technique is always correct to avoid any further problems. He is reliable & he plans exercise routine for each session bringing props as necessary. He was also available to meet my request to create a morning routine for me including videos which he sent via a training app so I can have it always at hand. My fitness has already increased despite the short time I have been training with him. I’ve seen improvements in my ability to complete more exercises. I actually look forward to my workouts.
I've been training with Rafael for about 4 months and he's been helping me to achieve my goals and become fitter. I have a knee injury and lower back pain, plus I haven't exercised for quite a long time, but Rafael is really patient and he explains each exercise, the muscles involved and the technique, and he always adapts the exercises to make them work for me.

Rafael was my personal trainer for three years before he moved to the UK, and I was really impressed with his services. Working with him helped me improve my running massively. He is good at teaching you the technique, running strategy, how to become fit and he tells you all of the strength exercise to get in shape and keep prepared for running, as well as improving your health and general condition. He prepares your fitness program and helps you to practice it, with great attention to detail on how you are doing. I really recommend Rafael as a personal trainer.
Rafael is a very good teacher. His teaching methods are very efficient and it is fun to learn a language with him. It is easier for me to learn with him because he also speaks some german
Rafael is an excellent personal trainer. He is really knowledgable about the different exercises and created a plan that specifically works the areas where I need help. He is really patient but also motivational to keep me energised throughout the whole session. I also like the fact that he isn't just focused on making you thin / muscly but also ensuring you are doing everything correctly. I have a bad back so he has given me some exercises that help strengthen my core and it has made such a difference! Would definitely recommend.
