About MA's Fitness

Assalamualaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh (May the Peace, Mercy and the Blessing of God be upon you). Hi, my name is Mudasar “Muddy” Asghar and I established MA’s Fitness™ as a personal training company in 2014. I have been a fitness enthusiast for over 12 years and I have a wide-ranging pedagogy in fitness. My fascination to fitness stems back to a young age, where my goal was to become a professional boxer. I joined the Cleckheaton Amateur Boxing Club (ABC) and under the tutelage of renowned boxing coaches Keith Tate and Richard Gillette, I developed a speedy fighting style with a tight defence. Although I haven’t been able to compete (due to feeble excused beard law!), I have faced seasoned Amateur boxers in the ring and often beaten them concisely. Therefore, I have always looked after my health because it affects the rest of your life. Over the years, I have worked in different sectors, but my most influential role was when I became a Fitness Instructor at the University of Huddersfield. I started teaching fitness classes and I was responsible for setting challenges in the gym. I also put a lot of effort into developing programmes for different goals, such as muscle building, weight loss and sports training. This was recognised by the manager and I was made solely in charge of goal-oriented plans for all clients. This allowed me to help a much larger audience and so, I developed my confidence and skills significantly to start this business. Thus far, I have had clients from all over the country, including London, Nottingham, Oldham and more. I am also a devout Muslim and I am actively involved in Da’wah and Tabligh, i.e. the effort for the reformation of the Ummah. This voluntary, but essential effort is based on the core principles of Islam and propagates peace. Therefore, we provide discounts for people involved in this noble work. I also recently completed my PGCE in teacher training so I learnt how to educate people of different abilities and dispositions. The way I see it, is that you have to educate people in the gym and not merely tell them what to do. This way, sooner or later my clients feel confident enough to train independently. I think this is our formula for success and thus why we receive so many positive reviews. Furthermore, we only use trialled and tested methods by looking at modern literature to aid our learning. So, rest assured you are in good hands!

MA's Fitness is a great place to start the body building and weight loss programme. Muddy understands my needs perfectly and he prepares a workout plan for 6 weeks and shows me the best way to do the workout in a single session. I am then given 6 weeks to do the workout programme. My workouts have become something I look forward to and enjoy. I am happy that I chose Muddy and MA's Fitness.

Punctual: I think you're punctual which is great. A car would be even better though so that you and your trainee can start earlier. Knowledge & Experience: You seem to have good experience. The best thing is that you update your knowledge and are not stubborn to change and adapt. Character: You seem to adopt a good mindset whilst training with your trainee. Instead of being hard on them, you encourage and push them. Utilities: So far, we have trained in a decent gym where the apparatus and utilities are decent. The gym seemed to be small and accommodates regulars. That's good since we won't get random people spoiling our workout. The workout: Each workout is great. We time our sessions and push each other which is great. The workout seems comprehensive, I.e. work out a lot of the muscles AND work on technique. Advice: You give good advice on outside of the gym too such as what protein shake to eat. Perhaps an improvement would be to inform the trainee what their diet should be like depending on the type of workout and what they wish to achieve. Trainee progress: It would be good to have a way to assess the trainee afterna given period to see how much they have improved. This would come under the category of both fitness and technique. It can prove to the trainee the benefits of your sessions but also perhaps make your add subtle changes to the workout. Maybe a more vigorous workout or a lesser one. Equipment: You have good amount of equipment yourself and instruct well to what the trainee should purchase. Goals: It might be worthwhile to set goals for the trainee once you have understood their fitness level. That will encourage them and inform you at the same time of how well they're doing. Your role: its good that when we train, you don't seem like an instructor but more like someone who's training alongside me which in my opinion is better.

Salaam, what I wanted to say is I have tried multiple Workout regimes and trying to stick to a strict diet but what I got out of muddys Workout Plan and diet plan was insane. Burning away excess fat but retaining as much muscle as possible, you put In the work and your nutrition will guide you, recommend strongly to get in touch with muddy and choose the most suitable one for you as mine was targeted around football and strength training and muscles mass 5 out 5!

Muddasir has been a mentor to me since a young age. That is why, when I decided to start losing weight ( I was north of 100kg) I approached Muddasir first. With the grace of Allah, I managed to lose a drastic amount of weight and increased my muscular and aerobic endurance.
