I had neck problems, couldn’t move my head and look sideways when riding my bike even. It’s amazing the improvement I had in just two weeks. Liza’s great, honestly. I can move my neck, my posture is better. Every time she comes up with new exercises, workouts are never boring. She remembers all my concerns and comes prepared.

I can't thank Liza enough! She's helped me so much. I've lost weight. My understanding of nutrition is clear now. I feel like a new person in both my mind and my body. I’m leaner and stronger, as well as now confident in my understanding of food choices and the chemistry/ biology behind eating choices. She's extremely knowledgeable - if you're interested and she definitely knows what she's doing. Liza takes care of her client's health well! Meet Liza

I've been a personal trainer for 7 years. I have degrees from Ben Weider College of Bodybuilding and fitness and the Russian Fitness Federation. I can help you lose weight, build muscle, stretch, find new interesting fitness goals, and just stay healthy and in shape. I will teach you about nutrition, how your body works, and how everything is connected (hormones, weight loss, nutrition, inflammation, colon, skin, health, etc). We can train at your home or outside in a park. I also speak fluent English and Russian.

Questions & answers

What should customers know about your pricing? (E.g. estimates, discounts, fees, package pricing)
I don't do online training or send pdf training sheets without having met the client first. It is dangerous and unethical to recommend exercises online without having seen the client, looked at their physical level, assessed their health, spine, knees, etc.
What process do you go through when starting with a new customer?
We discuss goals, previous experience, complaints. I assess their physical level, health, previous injuries. Every client is different and it's important to adjust tempo and style. Sometimes lessons are high energy and fun, some clients want to be pushed to the limit with lots of screaming and rock music, and sometimes lessons are mellow and chill. Whatever you want and feel comfortable with.

Do you have tips or advice for someone hiring a pro in your line of work?
A personal trainer doesn't have to be a weekly expense. If you cannot afford a personal trainer three times a week it is still better to hire a trainer once a month instead of no trainer at all. A trainer will monitor your progress, check your form and posture, make sure you are doing every exercise correctly and safely, teach you new exercises, and set goals. Look for a trainer that understands your goals, but is also mindful of safety and posture. You might want to lose weight or get a six-pack, but if you have bad posture or knee pain, this is what we will be concentrating on first. Your health and wellbeing are a priority. Do not hire trainers that check their phones during lessons, are distracted, and aren't watching your form during every exercise.
How did you first get into this line of work?
I've always been fascinated by the human body and mind. When I was 20 I decided to study biochemistry and anatomy, because I wanted to understand why I wasn't feeling well, why I couldn't control my body the way I wanted to. Learning how organs interact, how cells work, how we move and experience the physical world has opened up my mind and made my life so much better. I honestly think it's a shame that we are not taught these things in school, it's crucial knowledge.
