Leo McCulloch Music Tuition

I have had Leo as my piano teacher for over a year now and couldn't have asked for a more attentive, skilled and friendly tutor. Leo is always patient, focused and responsive during our sessions which makes for a comfortable learning environment. He continues to encourage and inspire and has a clear passion for music which is infectious. He is very good at assessing barriers to playing pieces and generates novel practices to overcome these. He has good knowledge of the exam grade criterion and had supported really well in preparing for these. He is flexible and adaptive in sessions depending on preferences whilst balancing this with maintaining long-term musical goals. I have been impressed with how he had to adapt to remote working during the lockdown and how the quality of sessions remains. He has a superb musical ear and despite precarious zoom connections he is always able to spot where more work needs to be done. I have notice significant improvement under his guidance and fell he goes above and beyond to support musical development. I whole-heartedly recommend Leo as an excellent piano teacher.

Leo has been a fantastic teacher for my 11 year old son. He is patient, thoughtful and hugely encouraging. My son enjoys his lessons, doesn't begrudge practising and is definitely turning into a good little pianist - all credit to Leo's positive influence and teaching skills.

Leo is patient and has great knowledge. He tailors each lesson to me and we study pieces that help me go deeper into the instrument. Lessons often become spontaneous but he goes with it and I still come out feeling I've discovered some gems. Other lessons are more strict and sometimes that's exactly what I need. We cross between blues/gospel/classical and pop. A great teacher... would highly recommend. Cheers
