Life Coaching
Alice D.'s review on Jul 24, 2021

I had such a brilliant experience having coaching sessions with Georgia, she helped me gain my latest promotion which I could not be more grateful for! The sessions allowed me to think about how I present myself, examine why I was holding myself back, and focus on why I was a good candidate for promotion. I could then write the application with confidence and I was more self-assured during the interview. Georgia's sessions also helped draw my attention to what is most important to me and what brings me happiness in life. Her flexible style allowed me to focus on what was at the forefront of my mind for each session. The sessions taught me how to make attainable goals, and guided me in taking actions that were in-line with my ethics and values. Thank you Georgia!

Questions & answers

What should customers know about your pricing? (E.g. estimates, discounts, fees, package pricing)
I offer a minimum of *6 sessions. Any less and you risk not getting the best out of the process. 6 session package @ £60 per session **9 session package @ £57 per session **12 session package @ £55 per session *Sessions are 1 hour long. The frequency of these sessions is largely down to you but in my experience it is best to have them around once every 2-3 weeks. This is so that you have enough time to do what is on your action list. Some people prefer weekly, some prefer monthly. It can be flexible. **DISC personal profile assessment included.
What process do you go through when starting with a new customer?
We start with a get to know you session. This can be as short as 30 minutes but I will block out 1 hour 30 minutes for this session. This is where the client gets to hear all about what they can expect from the coaching process. They can ask lots of questions and if they feel comfortable I will ask them about their future goals and current lifestyle. We will cover housekeeping, contracts and preferred communication styles. Overall, we keep it fairly light, you'll know pretty quick if this is the right thing for you as you'll leave the session with a little bit of nerves but a lot of excitement and anticipation. And why shouldn't you? If you are willing to whole-heartedly give coaching a go then it can completely transform your life.
What education or training is most relevant to your work?
Personal Performance Diploma - The Coaching Academy Level 2 Certified DISC Accreditation Prior Qualifications BA Degree in Writing Direction & Performance - University of York Qualified Teacher Status - Primary Education - University of Brighton
Do you have tips or advice for someone hiring a pro in your line of work?
For coaching to work to it's full potential you have to be completely open with your coach. If you start on a journey with a coach that does not make you feel comfortable or ignite that level of trust then you will not get the most out of it. Do not look for coaches with pre-determined plans or processes. Coaching is a personalised experience for each client and a coach should not try to fit them into a mould that works for them. This will not achieve long term lasting results for that client.
What questions should customers have ready before speaking to pros about their project?
The two things I usually want to know from a future client is: Are you ready to put the work in? Are you willing to be open and honest with me? You should be coming to the first session relaxed but ready to be real with the coach. The coach will lead the session, all you have to do is be honest.
What are some good examples of past customers?
I have had many different types of clients looking for many different things. Normal right? Everyone is different and everyone has a different idea of what success and happiness look like. The best clients I have worked with have been the ones that are REAL with me.
Describe a recent project that went well. Scope? How long did it take?
I worked with Alice for 6 sessions. I usually work with clients for longer than this, but 6 session was all she needed. We spoke about all kinds of areas in her personal and professional life. Alice was very motivated and had long term goals to achieve. She had a couple of mindsets holding her back, a few doubts and a little uncertainty. Once she was aware of this she tore down those obstacles and that was it - she flew. She was bolder, fiercer, more certain of her goals and really knew her worth. By the time we had finished working together she had made some big life decisions and had been promoted at work.
How did you first get into this line of work?
I have always been interested in personal development and one day a friend was telling me about a two-day coaching taster course that she had heard about but didn't have time to go to. Well, I was a teacher, and I hadn't been planning to have a sudden career change. Although, a two day course to hear about how professionals help you attain your biggest goals and breakthrough your biggest barriers... that sounds interesting. So, I went along and the rest is history. Not only did I enjoy the course but I loved being surrounded by people looking at how they can better themselves. These were some already very successful people, I was sat in-between a business owner and a head teacher. Everyone present had a passion for gaining awareness and using that awareness to improve their lives and therefore the lives of others around them. I love coaching, but more so, I love working with people with the drive to elevate themselves. To challenge how they see the world. I did use coaching to help with my teacher role at first. But then in time it became so addictive that I knew this is what I wanted full-time.
