About George Salisbury

I hold a BA in Film, and since graduating in 2017 I‘ve continued to build my experience in the media industry. I’m nearing the end of an 18-month apprenticeship with Brands Media, a well-established Devon company creating video, audio and print promotional material. At BM, I’ve been involved in all stages of film making, including camera operation, lighting design and sound recording, but mainly in post-production in a variety of styles, creating high-quality advertising footage and training films for clients in a range of sectors. I’ve also been supported to develop my long-standing interest in motion graphics and animation and have a basic understanding of animation principles and timing. I have overseen Brands Media’s online profiles on both YouTube and Facebook and have produced videos appropriate for both platforms. I have also developed my understanding of IT through the Brands Media apprenticeship and through briefly working at BlueScreen IT. I also worked on post-production of a number of commercials for televised broadcast through the use of Clearcast and Adstream. Another area of relevant experience is co-shooting and post-producing in-house training videos, for example for the housing provider LiveWest, presenting to employees how to demonstrate new properties to tenants.
