Funk Format – the Street Dance experts since 2000. Founded by Sasha Biloshisky, we provide an authentic quality Street Dance education to people of all abilities, ages and backgrounds. Sasha is a regular lecturer at the worlds first Street Dance Teacher Diploma and also a one of the specialist consultants for the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance. Our dance experts will teach you the foundations of street dance styles as well as giving you guidance to create a freestyle in your own way, rather than have you simply repeating choreography. We have taught in countless number of schools in UK and Internationally. We are proud to have appeared on the BBC’s Blue Peter series and taught at several major music festivals such as Victorious, Glastonbury and the Isle Of Wight. We can provide you with choreography and performances. Our choreography ranges from making your wedding extra special by choreographing your first dance, to big corporate events such as the opening of The Ideal Home Show at Earls Court. Our dancers have appeared in the Boy George's music video, as well as BBC 'Bad Education' comedy series, where we choreographed and consulted in casting of young dancers for the roles. We can provide you with shows done by our team of street dance experts and professional dancers, as well as performances by our talented students. Our dancer's credits also include artists such as Beyonce, Alesha Dixon, Kylie Minogue, Boy George and Sean Paul. Community outreach Our charitable project Funk Format Trust inspires and guides young people from disadvantaged backgrounds using urban dance. We are supported by the School for Social Entrepreneurs, Big Lottery Fund, Portsmouth Council and East Hampshire District Council.
