My name is Maria and I’m a Swedish holistic practitioner and yoga teacher. I specialize in yoga and holistic for healing and stress management. I’m highly qualified in Yin, Hatha and Restorative yoga, as well as Reiki and sound healing. I’m inspiring and guiding my students to build awareness and re-connect with their bodies. With 8 years of practice, the yoga I teach specifically helps to prevent diseases, inflexibility and energy stagnation by keeping the energy meridians open and life energy flowing, we will work to healing physical injuries, illnesses and emotional imbalances while reducing stress. Hatha Yoga is fun a fun and dynamic style of yoga, incorporating flow of movement and balance exercises., a great practice to build strength and endurance while having fun and opening stiff joints. Yin Yoga is a slow intervention that helps to significantly reduce stress while keeping our bodies flexible and limber. The poses are mostly practiced seated, and held for longer periods of time (3-5 minutes). Some of the immense benefits that come with regular yin yoga practice include lower blood pressure, diminished stress levels, improved coordination and greatly improved flexibility, leading to better concentration, sleep, and digestion. Yin is also a perfect form of yoga for a practitioner recovering from injury, as it can be as gentle or challenging as your body requires. Restorative Yoga is the most known form of yoga used for healing the body. Its soothing, comfortable, long held poses encourages deep relaxation and targets your central nervous system and lowers the production of harmful stress hormones, lowers blood pressure, soothes joint aches and pains, diminishes stress and anxiety and leads to a calm, clear mind. These healing forms of yoga benefit people of any age and can be easily adapted to any ability. My teaching style is calm, genuine and traditional, and fills you with positive energy and gives a calmer mind; you will leave the mat with a smile on your face and a nourished centre. I offer (very popular) Yang / Yin sessions with a mix of Hatha and Yin for the perfect mind and body balance. I’m attuned in the traditional Japanese variation of reiki healing and I also work with sound vibrations from the soothing crystal singing bowls. I offer Reiki and Sound Baths in the comfort of your own home, or you are welcome do visit my treatment space in North London. I offer bespoke sessions tailored to you – and I happily combine yoga styles and holistic treatments, to reflect your unique spirit and meet your specific needs. Maria Leads a weekly lunchtime yoga session for the Staff at Woodlands Park Nursery School. She tailors each session to meet the needs of the group as well as tuning in to individuals and providing support, encouragement and challenge where necessary. The Staff have recognised a real and significant improvement in their sense of well-being and their overall physical strength. Maria has a wonderful, warm and responsive approach and is motivating, sensitive and extremely reliable. Our Yoga sessions have definitely become the highlight of the week!!

Maria is a fantastic yoga instructor, with a great breadth of knowledge regarding yoga, the body, breathing practises, focusing the mind and meditation. She is warm, welcoming and professional. The space is calming and comfortable. I cannot recommend working with her enough, whether it is for mental, physical or emotional benefits. I am so happy to have found her to work with, I have tried a number of yoga options previously and none have made the impression she has or the results in such a short space of time. I have been receiving Reiki healing from Maria for the last month and I can honestly say she is fantastic and I can't recommend her enough. She is so dedicated to my personal healing journey and works with me so gently. I went though a professional burn out followed by a divorce about a year ago, and I found Maria by coincidence; I wish our path would have crossed sooner as I feel better today then what I have in a long time. Her studio is so lovely and beautiful, and I feel so safe and looked after while I'm there. It's like a mini retreat meeting there! Her Reiki sessions as relaxing, soothing and comforting, and once I also received a message from one of my angels which she gave me, and it was spot on!

You have been teaching me for almost 6 moth now and I absolutely love our Yin Yoga sessions. when I first reached out to you my main goal was to gain flexibility and openness my physical body, but our session have given me so much more. I find that your guided mediation and the way you have taught me to connect with my breath and listen to my body have totally transformed the way I feel about myself and my body.
