Meet Lee

I am a Personal Trainer that followed up the Level 3 Qualification with a First Class (Hons) Bachelors of Science degree in Strength and Conditioning, which was over a three year period. Alongside this I worked with Talented scholarship Tennis players, professional rugby and basketball clubs. Hard work and effort paid off for me, which is something my clients start to understand from the start. My philosophy is on continual learning and keeping up to date with scientific research. I do that so i can enhance the well being of my clients, by empowering them with the knowledge, skills, guidance and resources to assist and inspire them on their journey to a healthier lifestyle. I have a first class honours degree in strength and conditioning and have also worked with professional athletes. I promote self-sufficiency and want my clients to have the ability to work autonomously. As the saying goes, give a man a fish, he eats for a day, but teach a man to fish, and he eats for a lifetime.

Personal Training
Thurai S.'s review on Oct 03, 2020

Had a couple of thoroughly enjoyable sessions with Lee so far. He places a lot of emphasis on form, ensuring proper balance and development. Lee is detailed and analytical, and builds tailored sessions to work on areas that I've been keen on improving. Lee has a strong understanding of body mechanics and is able to pinpoint areas of my body which need further strengthening and development. Always keeps honest and open communication lines and arrives to session well on time. Highly recommended!

Personal Training
Suzairi K.'s review on Sep 27, 2020

After lockdown, I have lost some of my fitness touch and wanted to get back on track. Therefore, I looked for a professional personal trainer to get back on track and learn new exercise routines to avoid plateau in my fitness routine. Lee PT has given excellent start with various training routines, advice and he is also flexible with the types of workouts I would like to have. He also started with an analysis on my condition such as my diet, daily routines and lifestyle to understand my level of fitness and how he can specially design the workout for me. Workout is made easy as Lee PT gives flexibility for the clients to choose when and where they would like to have their training done. Price wise is at good value, friendly, flexible with timing, very easy to mingle with and easy to contact for any workout advice. I definitely recommend.

Not going to say much except - hands down the best trainer I’ve ever had. Also, if you don’t pick him, then it will be someone’s gain.

Patricija P.'s review on Jun 15, 2020

Lee is a perfect example of a Personal Trainer. He has regressed and progressed exercises to match my abilities. He is very flexible, extremely professional and has a great eye for detail. He has worked with loads of people as I seen on his website. I’m quite lucky this Covid situation happened as I would never of found him on this website. Thanks Bidvine too.

What a lovely guy Lee is and very professional at what he does. Can’t talk highly enough about him. (his website testimonials also shows how many other people rate him the same way as I do, so I consider him a rare gem that I found on here). Every session was structurally planned and he is very clear at explaining what is happening. He made me work hard, have fun, laugh and improve my overall appearance for the better all in one. Going to train with him for a long time.

Questions & answers

What should customers know about your pricing? (E.g. estimates, discounts, fees, package pricing)
Prices of sessions vary from £45-65 depending on location (gym, outside etc). Sessions are done in blocks of 12, 24 or 36 and save more money the client commits too. Very flexible in regards to payments. Payment plans available to help spread the cost. Also, let clients pay via cash too if they wanted to save a bit of money.
What process do you go through when starting with a new customer?
They fill out an Online form, which lets the client fill out some goals in more detail, availability and medical history etc From here I analyse the info and build an initial consultation linked to those goals. We then meet in person and complete the Initial assessments to see how the body moves. Get a solid baseline to ensure we can see what to improve on safety and effectively.
What education or training is most relevant to your work?
First Class Bachelors Degree in Strength and Conditioning. Foundation degree in strength and Conditioning and sport coaching. Worked for some professional clubs and helped on the rehabilitation team so have a background of helping recover from injuries.
Do you have tips or advice for someone hiring a pro in your line of work?
See if they offer a free session. You can’t trust to give someone money without even knowing if you both get on. There are a lot of people that can become “fully qualified” as a Personal Trainer in 6 weeks, which I despise. That’s why I’d check to see if they have further education like a degree In something relevant to fitness. This should highlight a PT with more passion then so called joe bloggs that was a lawyer 6 weeks ago, got his qualification and cracked on.
What questions should customers have ready before speaking to pros about their project?
Try not to worry about anything that you have on your mind. The more truthful and open you are with the trainer, the better results and relationship you’ll have. For me. I have a online client questionnaire which lets clients get some info out behind a screen if they embarrassed or find it hard to say in person. However, in the long run if you have trusted a PT to help you with your own health. The longer you train, the more you both open up.
What are some good examples of past customers?
I am lucky to had a lot of clients choose me abs stick with me. I have had the following clients: - Professional rugby players - General fitness fanatics - sat down all day office workers - wedding or holiday prep clients - tough mudder fans - Athletic Performance clients (touch rugby, ultimate frisbee, football). - shy or lonely clients And many more.
Describe a recent project that went well. Scope? How long did it take?
Each person brings something different to the table. I’d like to think I help people physically and mentally during each session, I try to educate them so them become more confident on doing stuff of their own. I let them speak if they have external issues and also try making them laugh as-well as working hard. I’m lucky to have kept clients for a long time. For me i don’t want clients to solely depend on me. For me it’s all about them learning adapting and having a better life. The saying of give a man a fish he eats for day, however teach the man to fish he eats for a lifetime goes well with how I train people (we don’t go fishing btw).
How did you first get into this line of work?
Honestly it was at college, I just wanted to learn how to get bigger arms. Then when I actually started understanding it in more detail, I started really enjoying the challenge. That gave me the opportunity to go to University and further my knowledge studying a relevant degree. Then the more people I helped the more of a addiction it became, it’s a powerful thing knowing you are helping people in many ways.
