About Timothy Barker Jr.

I am a filmmaker/photographer living and working in the North East of England but I'm originally from the U.S. (North Carolina, Boston, and New York). Great movies like Jaws, Jurassic Park and Star Wars taught me that movies are magical with the ability to take you to a galaxy far, far away. I was so captured and engrossed by these films that I never wanted the magic to end. I would watch the films over and over again and then when the VHS had started to break down, DVD was born and gave me a glimpse into how the magic was made. I've been hooked in one way or another ever since. Filmmaking utilises everything I'm passionate about (story, photography, travel, music, design, and marketing) but also fuels that desire everyone has; to be a kid again. Filmmaking can be stressful but I have so much fun when I'm working that I can't believe sometimes that this is actually my job. I truly love making films and creating images. I can travel near or far, film fiction or documentary, but there is always a story that has to be told and I'm the one to tell it.
