Hello! Welcome to my page. My name is Eliza. I trained as an Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga instructor in India in 2018 and have since completed additional trainings in Yoga for Stress and Burnout, Yin Yoga, Yoga and Dysfunctional Breathing and Polyvagal Theory. In addition to this, I am also an expert in hyper mobility syndrome: how to identify it and how to practise yoga safely with this physical condition. I particularly enjoy working on a 1-1 basis, tailoring classes to suit you and your varying needs over time. A perfect teacher for beginner - intermediate practitioners, I will work with you to build strength, tone your muscles and increase flexibility, whilst practising stillness and calming through integrated meditation and philosophy. My favourite way to work is to build sessions around the astrological cycle to give rhythm and flow to the practise over time, integrating breathwork, meditation, poetry and mantra into the sessions to provide you with the highest value and most transformative experience possible. If you experience anxiety, I can work with more specifically to support you to reduce your feelings of anxiety, to destress, reset your nervous system, move pain and trauma through your body and physically aid your internal healing. If this is something you are interested in, please indicate in your response. For women, if it calls to you, I can also shape the sessions around your monthly cycle and your hormone fluctuations, to work most in tune with your body. Capitalising on times in the months when we have the highest energy and recovery rate, and working with restorative practices when we are feeling slower and quieter. I have also developed my own yoga method for practitioners with hyper mobility. This has been considered and developed through years of experience, plus my own research, and is now undergoing a process to be approved by a physiotherapist specialising in hyper mobility. If this is something you would specifically like to focus on, rather than integrating with the general classes, I run a course focussed on this which is for individuals with a mild to moderate display of hyper mobility will focus on developing an understanding of ‘good’ and ‘bad’ sensations in the body; safe, comfortable practise that allows you to work with yoga without damaging your joints (very common in hyper mobile individuals); and building strength around joints to protect into the future, enabling you to develop strength and comfort in your everyday life. This content will be integrated into private sessions if you are hyper mobile. I am a kind, compassionate and nurturing teacher. My soul aims to hold space for you, and provide you the medicine you need to feel calm, strong and centred in your being. I aim to bring value and depth to every session, and strive to go above and beyond the experience of a standard yoga session to bring you life changing results for your mind and body.
