You've been bobbing your head along to songs since forever, and you've been tapping and hitting pots and pillows. You're already a drummer, you just don't know it yet! Every one of us has innate rhythm and a desire to play the drums, it taps into that most primal and elemental part of us. The drums, in my opinion, is the greatest instrument because at every stage of the learning process it is fun and the very first beat you create will get people dancing and bobbing their heads. So come along for a lesson and continue your journey of drumming. Why wait? I've been drumming for over 15 years and have been in numerous bands across the genres of rock, pop, country, and indie. I have played gigs across London and the Southeast, and have recorded in studios (including the amazing Abbey Road). I have been teaching since 2010 and taught privately and with employees at charities. I teach beginner levels drums, and like to teach a variety of hip hop, rock, reggae, indie, samba, blues, and jazz and other genres as this will help increase your creativity and ability to bring in multiple influences into your playing (and it also is more fun!). I like to immediately get people playing to the songs they love and give students the power and confidence to get playing with other musicians and create music of their own. I also teach how to read and write drum music notation and how to transcribe songs that you hear, and also teach rudiments and the proper ergonomic technique to play drums in the most healthy and easy way. My teaching method is one based on fun and clarity and the lessons will be individually tailored to each student.
