Tony hadn't looked up what the piece of furniture was, even though it was clearly stated on the original request, so he had hugely underestimated both the time and the cost. Then he made the fundamental mistake of not checking what was actually in the Ikea packs before he started - so when he got to the end , FIVE HOURS later, and claimed that pieces didn't fit and he didn't have the right pieces because Ikea had made a mistake, there was no way of checking this out. Very unsatisfactory I'm afraid.
