About Claire Armitage Photography
Fulfilling a range of commercial commissions including interiors, weddings, events, and portraits I am also a fine art and documentary photographer. My passion in photography is biased towards people and their stories - whether that be portraiture, documentary or street. I enjoy the connections that my photography brings with people, places and history; celebrating the human: the unusual and the ordinary. My time studying psychology also helping fuel my fascination in people and how they think, interact, connect and navigate their way through life. Launching of my first published book on Kickstarter from my photography series Internal Voices, which has its first solo exhibition at Hull International Photography Festival in October 2019. Some of the project was also shown at Festival Pil’ours, Saint Giles Croix de Vie, France in July 2018. Winner of British Photography Award – Self Portrait Photographer of the Year 2019
