OUTDOOR LOCATIONS - At various parks and open areas all around Manchester. I will bring various equipment with me, including TRX Suspension Trainer, resistance bands, 3kg dumbbells, medicine ball, agility ladders, cones, exercise mat, abs roller, and of coruse endless posibilities for exercise using just your own body weight, and anything around us. GYM LOCATION - The Gym Group on Deansgate Currently closed due to Covid, but hopefully due to open around mid-july, TBC. You are welcome to train with me outdoors until the gyms re-open or book in advance. ONLINE PERSONAL TRAINING also available via my dedicated 121 Personal Training app, including exercise videos, calendar, tailored workout and nutrition plans, nutrition coaching, calories & macros, link with your fitness devices & apps, and so much more. I will be in touch with you regularly to ensure you meet your goals. Over the past 12+ years I have been working across Greater Manchester as a Personal Trainer & Nutrition Specialist. You will benefit not only from effective fitness sessions using research & science proven techniques for the most effective results. You will also learn throughout your training all about healthy balanced nutrition for fast and long-lasting results, while feeling happier and full of energy. I am still training with Ben. He is rigorous about commitment, reviews your diet properly and is clear about what is needed to reach goals. He is engaged and supportive. I have genuinely altered my eating habits and my attitude to exercise. I have lost weight, become stronger and have seen the benefits more widely in greater positivity. I see training as a natural part of my weekly schedule and am now working towards more expanded, medium term goals.

What should customers know about your pricing? (E.g. estimates, discounts, fees, package pricing)
There are discounts available on Blocks of 10 & 20 sessions, and also on my 12 Week Transformation Packages. You will get the biggest discount on my 12 Week Packages by paying for them in full, or there are also Pay Monthly options available too. For Gym Sessions, at The Gym Group on Deansgate, you will benefit from a discounted membership client rate of only £13.99/month with no joining fee and no contract. There is a PAYG option if you are a member elsewhere, but it does involve applying for a day pass each separate time you wish to come for a PT session. Gym Members also get discounted on-site NCP car parking for only £1.50 for under 2 hours.
What process do you go through when starting with a new customer?
Anyone interested is welcome to a FREE CONSULTATION. This would normally take place at The Gym Group on Deansgate, but can also take place over the phone or video chat. Some people prefer to discuss their goals over the phone first, and then book their first session. Sessions are 1 hour, but I usually allow up to 90 minutes during your first session to account for any questions you have, or if I assess your posture, etc.
What education or training is most relevant to your work?
I have always been involved in Sport & Exercise my whole life, representing county for cross coutry in collage. I took my fitness to an advanced level when joining the British Parachute Regiment (military). I hold a degree in BSc Exercise Nutrition & Health, and several other qualifications in fitness and nutrition. I also hold advanced qualifications in Level 4 Obesity & Diabetes, and have over 12 years contiinous experience working full time as a PT. I continously keep up to date with the latest science and fitness/nutrition research and regularly attend seminars and events covering advanced techniques.
Do you have tips or advice for someone hiring a pro in your line of work?
Choose a PT that you can really get on with during your sessions and can truley help you achieve your goals. There are many Personal Trainers which are inexperienced and have only completed a 4 week 'quick course' to become a PT, and many who only work part time along side their main job which isn't in fitness. You want a Personal Trainer who isn't just going to teach you about fitness, but will also coach you in healthy balanced nutrition which is an essential key component for your progress, regardless of your goals. And someone who will also coach you on health & lifestyle, so you can become healthier, less stressed, more energetic and so much more.
What questions should customers have ready before speaking to pros about their project?
Where would you like to train? How often would you like to train with a PT? How many times per week will you train in total, with or without a PT? What are your short, medium and long term goals? Over the past month or two have you gained, lost or maintained weight? What are your biggest struggles right now? What kind of training do you enjoy doing or would like to try? These are some example questions to think about the answers for. Be sure to make a note of questions you might like to ask me before you get started too.
What are some good examples of past customers?
I've had many people even over lockdown who have had amazing results, some making significant increases in their strength, others who have continued to lose weight week by week. Recently, I had someone lose 6.5 stone over 8 months. I've had an online client who recently lost 1 stone in his first month, and is noticing his muscles now taking shape. There are other testimonials available with photos on my website.
Describe a recent project that went well. Scope? How long did it take?
Recently, I had someone lose 6.5 stone over 8 months. This included a few hic-ups, where he followed one key rule I have, and that is that when life gets in the way and you make a bad decision, accept that's just life, and get straight back on track. I will coach you on how you can still incorporate the occasional treats and cheat meals/drinks. The key is consistency and regular positive habits.
How did you first get into this line of work?
During my degree in BSc Exercise Nutrition & Health, it really made sense for me to pursue a career in Personal Training and Nutrition Coaching, and becoming a PT was the easiest way I could see to be able to help people get fit and improve their health, fitness and wellness. It also had the added advantage of being able to work for myself and choose my own hours.
