About Alex Longsdon
I teach students with passion, passing on tips and tricks that I've learned over the past 10 years and am still learning. I take great interest in the history of percussion and some of the most recognised players as well as less famous characters who have also had a significant impact on the world of drums. I take great notice of not just the most basic aspects of playing the drums, but the more minute details for those aiming to really get their grooves feeling 'in the pocket'. I've experience of playing in a vast range of ensembles such as big bands, concert orchestras as well as smaller groups such as indie rock bands, so I've had plenty of varied experience over the years.
