What process do you go through when starting with a new customer?
We will start with a consultation, in which I will run through a few questions to determine your goals, what you hope to achieve from our journey together, and any pre-existing medical conditions I would need to know about before proceeding. A small fitness test will also be a part of this to determine your current fitness level and what we need to build upon. After this consultation, we will discuss our next course of action, book in your next session and I will develop a programme that is tailored to your specific goals based off what we have just discussed in the consultation.

Do you have tips or advice for someone hiring a pro in your line of work?
Look for someone that you engage with, that you connect with and are able to freely approach if you have any queries. Make sure your trainer always has your best interests at heart, is patient and who is just as passionate about your goals as you are.
What questions should customers have ready before speaking to pros about their project?
How can you help me reach my goals? What time fame can we hope to achieve these goals depending on if they`re short term or long term? What do you specialise in? How much time should I commit to a programme? How many a sessions a week would you recommend?
What are some good examples of past customers?
I have worked with clients from all walks of life, that is what makes this job exciting for, the opportunity to engage with people you may not normally cross paths with. A few examples are: *Teenagers/young people who are new and inexperienced when it comes to exercises so looking at correct technique and how to use equipment correctly. *People looking to bulk up, increase their muscle mass so using a lot of Strength & Conditioning training. *People who nervous and underconfident in a gym environment and don`t particularly like exercise so we work on building confidence and increase their knowledge of training systems and techniques as well as making each session fun and fast paced. *Older people who want to stay active so focusing on bone strength, mobility and posture.
Describe a recent project that went well. Scope? How long did it take?
I`m going to provide a personal project for this one. At the start of this year, I wanted to build enough strength up to perform a handstand push up and I couldn`t even kick up against the wall. I really focused on the qualities I needed to build that strength, shoulder mobility and strength, core strength, balance, stability. I devised a plan to progress with each of these everyday and increased the amount of work I put in every week. Don`t get me wrong, some days I didn`t want to but I knew the end result would be worth it. After 4 weeks I was able to perform 1 which spurred me on even more and within another 3 weeks I was able to increase that to 4. It`s something I`m still working on and hoping to get better at. I always say, it`s you get out what you put in and I try to emphasises with this all of my clients. Never give up because the end result WILL be worth it.
How did you first get into this line of work?
I used to be an actress , so I`ve always loved working with people it`s something that comes quite naturally to me and I`ve always been a fitness fanatic, training whenever I can, it helps not only keep me fit physically but mentally. After a bit of a dry year acting wise, I decided to retrain as PT and make it a full time career thus combining my love of interacting with others and keeping fit.... I now just get to keep others fit!
