Move Over Calendar Girls - Bidvine Launched Dudeoir Photography!

October 19, 2020

It’s time for Calendar Girls to move over. Bidvine is launching the UK’s first Dudeoir photography service just in time for Christmas!

You may have seen the wonderful photographs circulating the internet recently of men posing seductively with various props, wearing only a cheeky grin and boxers.

Haven’t seen them yet? Then you’re missing out but don’t worry we have you covered!

Dudeoir shoots capture photos that are similar to boudoir but are a bit more fun and of course have male models. We noticed a huge surge in people enquiring about Dudeoir on Bidvine.com, so we decided to bring this viral photography sensation to the UK.

To bring this project to life we’ve enlisted the help of our professional photographers to make ‘Dudeoir’ shoots a national service, just in time for Christmas!

It’s much easier to show you what Dudeoir is, words just don’t do it justice. So without further ado, here are some photos from a recent shoot Bidvine.com photographer, Owen Harvey, did with Max, a 26-year-old guy who wanted to surprise his girlfriend with a cheeky shoot for Christmas.

Thankfully Max agreed to make it an early Christmas present to help launch Bidvine.com’s new Dudeoir photography service!

Russ Morgan, co-founder of Bidvine.com said:

“We’d noticed a huge number of searches for something we’d never heard of before, and as soon as we Googled and spotted the amazing photoshoots coming out, we knew we had to bring it to the British public in time for Christmas. We also think it promotes body positivity, something that has been championed in the press recently for women but not so much for guys.

The photos speak for themselves. They’re fun, cheeky and as we understand it, Max’s girlfriend loves them. They make a perfect Christmas present from guys who want to do something different, and based on initial interest, I think our photographers might have a busy few months!”

2. Shape of You – Ed Sheeran

3. Can’t Stop the Feeling! – Justin Timberlake

It’s pretty inevitable that a pop song from an animated movie becomes one of the top wedding songs each year. A few years ago it was Everything is Awesome from The Lego Movie, and this year it’s Can’t Stop the Feeling! from Trolls. Play this song at your wedding and allow Justin Timberlake to bring some high energy music to your dancing!

4. Mercy – Shawn Mendes

If you want to take a break from higher energy music, this Shawn Mendes tune is perfect. It’s a romantic song that will give your guests a chance to relax and sway to the music.

How To Improve Your Property Photography

Property photography is one of the most effective ways to grab the attention of potential buyers in the housing market. Even if you’re not selling, you might be considering renting your home on Airbnb in the coming summer months. A property photographer is one of the best ways to ensure the best results for your property photos!

Attractive photos that showcase your property are essential for standing out in a crowded online marketplace. However, getting it right isn’t always straightforward. Bad estate agent photos are so common that they’ve even inspired their own blog! There is so much competition out there to secure buyers and renters, so knowing how to take property photography that leaves an impression is a must.

Here are our top tips for ensuring that your property photography shows off your home in the best light:

1. Use quality equipment

If you’re trying to create a masterpiece, you need the right tools to help you out. For interior photography, a wide angle lens will make your rooms look larger and more spacious. However, make sure that you don’t position a wide lens too close to any furniture, otherwise you may suffer from a distorted image.

DSLR cameras with manual controls are recommended by professional property photographers for capturing great shots. For an insight into some of the best camera equipment, we recommend having a look at this guide on cameras for real estate photography.

Of course, professional photography equipment doesn’t come cheap. By hiring a professional property photographer on Bidvine, you can avoid splashing on expensive gadgets, but still get great results.

2. Keep it steady

The success of property photography rests on whether the shots look professional. Wobbly, blurry images won’t portray your home in the best light. However, they are surprisingly common on estate agents’ websites.

One easy method for avoiding this pitfall is to invest in the best tripod you can afford. A steady base is invaluable for producing clean shots. Investing in  a more expensive option is likely to be sturdier, and last longer, making it more cost effective in the long run. Do your research and read expert reviews to work out the best option for you.

When beginning your search, it is so important to know exactly what you are looking for. Do some research about the style of photography you are looking for and provide as much information as you can from the very start.

Know your budget and don’t be afraid to tell the photographer. Many people worry that they will just receive a quote based on the budget. This should not be the case. Your budget is usually just used as a guide for the photographer to put the best package together for your requirements.
